Does Nautical Details offer “Free Estimates”?
The initial visit to your boat or home to discuss your project and the subsequent proposal as a result of that visit are free. We understand that there may be revisions of work from the initial proposal and that will also be free of charge to be able to accommodate to the work that needs to be done.
How often should I detail my boat?
Boats like any personal possession, are valuable to their owners. Having them detailed can do a lot of good and it will help protect, lengthen their life cycle and help the boat and car look its best. Every boat is made of different materials which mean that every job is customized to meet the clients specific needs.
Do you only work on boats?
No. While our specialty is yacht and boat preservation, we also provide select detailing and steam cleaning services for marine equipment, outdoor furniture, and other specialty projects. Contact us to discuss your needs.
Do you work year-round?
Yes. While detailing is most popular during boating season, we provide maintenance, steam cleaning, restoration, inspections, and winter services throughout the year.
How long does a detailing service take?
It depends on the size and condition of the vessel. A maintenance wash may take a few hours, while a full restoration or ceramic coating project may require several days.
Do I need to be present during the service?
No. As long as we have access to your boat and any necessary marina authorization, our team can complete the work and provide photos and updates throughout the project.
What are the benefits of regular washings?
Washing regularly and keeping it waxed will help protect the paint and finish of your boat or car. If you are ever interested in reselling or trading the value will drop because the boat or car wasn’t taken care of on a consistent basis.
What cleaning materials are used by the Nautical Details Crew?
Nautical Details is an eco-green company that provides the highest service to our clients to prevent chemical run offs and chemicals within the marina. We use the greenest methods possible to preserve the safety and care of the environment. The materials are either all natural or ecofriendly.
What surfaces can be cleaned with a high pressured dry steam unit?
The systems can be used to clean and sanitize many surfaces including floors, walks, tiles and grout, mattresses, wheelchairs, bedrails, commode chairs, dietary equipment, ventilation and air returns, and much more.
Why haven’t I heard more of about high pressured steam units?
It is just being introduced into the North American market. These systems are popular in European countries and also in Canada.
