"As a yacht owner for 27 years I have used numerous mechanics, boat detailers, electronics firms and other marine vendors and have experienced a wide range of customer service and expertise on my 50+ft vessel. Although a few marine vendors do a great job the vast majority of firms do not show up for work at the time they promised and even worse do not notify me of a pending tardiness.
For the most part my experience with marine detail firms has been disappointing because employees are poorly trained and lack a strong work ethic and attention to detail. However, my experience with Nautical Details over the past 10 years has been positive since they provide well trained high quality workers who arrive on time and do a first class job detailing my vessel. Nautical Details employees are very responsive to my requests for special cleaning and wax jobs and complete the job on time. We've been honored in multiple occasions by this world famous Magazine who features some of our work. In this time our Woodwork Refinisher Expert and Cofounder of the company Tobi Keitmeier had the opportunity to tell the insights of the Teak Repair for Revarnishing on boats in an article titled "Secrets of a Stripper".
Tobi explains that the key to achieve that Refinished look in the wooden surfaces of your boat is to Practice and be Carefull as well as using the right tools. He recommended while upgrading the brightwork on a new 76ft Monte Carlo Yatch to test your habilities and your tools in scrape wood until you master them because one slip with the Scraper takes lots of sanding to repair

In the fall of 2013 after a long and successful season the BOATYARD section of this prestigious Magazine posted an article where Margarita Xistris Owner and CEO of Nautical Details revealed some "Secrets of a Boat -Cleaning Girl".
Thirty years of experience making boats sparkle is a long way to go and along this road she has learned the insights and secrets to being successful in this industry, Delivering a high-end quality job being one of them.
The interview was made in Runaway, a 45ft Cabo that we've been taking care of since she was built in 2008, and up to this date, Jhon Vlahakis is still a happy customer and even more important a very happy Boat Owner.
She makes special emphasis in using greener, high-end products is what makes the difference when it comes to cleaning boats, specially since the whole long island sound along with many places on the east coast of the United States is constantly polluted so you have to understand your dirt. Products like Plexus for example help you prevent premature cracking, cloudiness , scratches, and yellowing she says.
